Device Classification
& Coverage Pathway
The EmpowerRide Navigator is a prescription-based medical mobility device designed for physical medicine and rehabilitation use. It is an FDA regulated medical device and is provided through DME distribution channels subject to medical necessity documentation.
Coverage may be available through commercial insurance, Medicaid programs, managed care plans, state disability programs, and other funding sources when medically necessary. Final coverage determination is made by the payer.

Responsibilities
Authorized providers agree to perform clinical evaluation and patient qualification, obtain physician
prescription or order, prepare medical necessity documentation, submit claims to payer, coordinate
patient delivery and training, and follow FDA and payer compliance requirements.
